Description: 1. BACKGROUNDLarge volumes of waste plastics, predominately PET water bottles and to a lesser degree, HDPE, LDPE, and PP containers and wrapping are being generated at UNISFA. With no identified viable recycling solutions locally available, UNISFA is seeking alternative and sustainable solutions for the management of the accumulated volumes of waste plastics.UNISFA wishes to develop a plastic recovery project for recycling of selected waste plastics generated by the mission into usable products. The pilot project will be developed as a testing, demonstration and verification platform for viable plastic recycling methods and operations with possible later expansion of the project. Under the conditions, introduction of plastic recycling will bring three main benefits:1.1 Reduce the amount of plastic incinerated and the amount of plastic transported to UNISFA, because all products made from recycled plastic will not have to be purchased. 1.2 Plas...
