- The United Nations Office at Nairobi (hereinafter referred to as UNON), on behalf of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) Sudan Programme, is inviting interested vendors to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the anticipated solicitation exercise to establish a contract for the Supply, delivery, and installation of steel elevated water tank at well sites, in five localities of Gezira State, Sudan, with the intention of establishing a contract.Scope of Work The project involves the supply, delivery, and installation of ten (10) elevated steel water tanks, each with a capacity of 27 m³, to store water pumped from existing or newly drilled boreholes. The works include:i) Elevated Steel Water Tanks: Fabrication, assembly, and installation of 27 m³ carbon steel tanks (S355JR, 6 mm thick) mounted on 6-meter-high steel towers, internally coated with epoxy and externally with UV-resistant polyurethane.ii) Steel Towers and Foundations: Geotechnical investigation, verification or redesign of foundations, and construction of reinforced concrete bases, columns, and beams with waterproofing and anti-rust treatment for all steel works.iii) Piping and Distribution Network: Supply and installation of galvanized steel pipes, fittings, and valves from boreholes to tanks and from tanks to water distribution points (approx. 30 m), including trenching and backfilling.iv) Water Distribution Points: Construction of distribution outlets with all necessary fittings and ...
